What things you gonna do in wining viewer’s heart while you presenting your ideas?

First, Do not use original template of PPT, trust me is sooo boring, your creativity is limited if you just apply it and not try to put something more captivated. in this case you WILL probably use BULLET which is soo 90’s hahahaha. please make it more creative since you are the instagram-generation 😛

 

that would be better if you can put only one idea in each slide. more simpler more easier to understand, You can divide into several slides

 

Second, Do not use boring image, use very good resolution images and of course has strong correlation to the content. Some website offer free copyright mage with nice resolution. How about using clip-art on PPT? I would say NO, very-very big NO hahahha because is tooo mainstream and the meaning of image is less now, I mean the usage of image on ppt is for making attractive slide and get more attention, but using old-fashion image (clip art) will not give that impact on viewers.

 

I still find many slides in ppt do not integrate the content and theme. For example my student present their final assignment about financial analysis but they applied SPONGEBOB theme. LOL. I don’t get it since the were undergraduate student not elementary. So, please use only one theme which has good correlation to the content

Rules number three is You can apply more multimedia such as video, sounds to keep the viewers stay awake hahahha

The font must be readable, relevant to the content. the color combination, the contrast are something important to slide. Then point is viewer can READ what you write on slide.

Do not use various animation in one PPT. just use simple animation. Can you imagine, I ever saw student presentation which every slide has sooo many animation, hahaahhaha it soo funny seeing bird flapping, swirling, rotating bla bla bla and sooo on in just ONE slide. Honestly, I got confused and I dont get what my student idea.

limit the number of words in one slide. Dont ever try to COPY and PASTE a full paragraph in a textbook to PPT. You have to filter what is the proper sentences, the main idea so you can control the usage of words.

 

Ok,  that’s all I can give to you about winning viewers attention in PPT. If you follow these rules I can assume at least 70% percent viewers will like your idea and understand what you gonna say. Good luck
